Recently, the participants of the Sri Lanka Small and Medium-sized Agricultural Machinery and Water-saving Irrigation Technology Training Class and the Antigua and Barbuda Small Agricultural Machinery Usage and Maintenance Technology Training Class jointly visited Debont (Wuhu) Agricultural Machinery Co., LTD., embarking on a fruitful journey of exploring agricultural science and technology. This visit and exchange activity aims to promote the exchange and cooperation of agricultural technologies among countries and facilitate the development of agricultural mechanization and modernization in various countries.
Debont (Wuhu) Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beijing Debont established in the provincial modern agricultural machinery industry agglomeration development base in Sanshan District, Wuhu City. Since its establishment in March 2018, it has been dedicated to the research and development, manufacturing and sales of forage machinery, irrigation equipment and other fields. The company is a powerful enterprise. It is not only the leading enterprise in the national large-scale sprinkler irrigation machine chain but also the director unit of the Intelligent Equipment Sub-center of the National Grass Industry Innovation (in preparation) Center. Its product line is rich and diverse, covering a full range of forage equipment such as lawn mowers, rakes, balers, film wrapping machines, and unbalers, as well as large-scale pointer-type and moving-type sprinkler irrigation machines and drip irrigation equipment. Among them, large-scale sprinkler irrigation machines and forage machinery are the main products, with over 80% sold overseas.
During the visit, the trainees of the training class first came to the company’s product exhibition center. One by one, advanced agricultural machinery was neatly arranged, attracting the attention of the trainees. The company’s technical personnel gave a detailed introduction to the functions, features and operation methods of various types of agricultural machinery. For the trainees from Sri Lanka and Antigua and Barbuda, these advanced agricultural machines have opened the door to their understanding of new ways of agricultural production. For instance, the high-performance no-till precision seeder independently developed by Deppon Dawei adopts an advanced air-blowing sowing system, which can achieve precise sowing, increase the germination rate, and reduce seed waste at the same time. This technology has enabled the trainees to deeply feel the huge potential of modern agricultural machinery in improving agricultural production efficiency. In the water-saving irrigation equipment exhibition area, large pointer-type sprinkler irrigation machines and intelligent water and fertilizer integration equipment attracted many students to stop by. Technicians introduced that these irrigation devices can intelligently regulate according to soil moisture and water requirements of crops, achieving precise irrigation and significantly improving the efficiency of water resource utilization. This holds significant reference value for Sri Lanka, where water resources are relatively tight, and Antigua and Barbuda, where agriculture is an important industry.
